Objective: Fill a 9x9 grid so that every row, every column, and each of the nine 3x3 sub-grids (also called boxes, blocks, or regions) contain the digits 1 through 9.
Uniqueness: Each number must appear exactly once in each row, column, and 3x3 sub-grid.
No Repetition: Numbers cannot be repeated within any row, column, or 3x3 sub-grid.
Starting Point:
The puzzle starts with some numbers already filled in (called "givens"). These cannot be changed.
Rules for Solving:
Click on the numbers below the Sudoku puzzle to activate them (the selected number will have a white background). Then, click on the empty cell in the Sudoku puzzle where you want to insert the selected number.
Analyze the grid to identify possible numbers for each empty cell based on the givens and the rules.
Use logic and elimination to narrow down options—guessing is not required in a standard Sudoku puzzle.
Continue filling in numbers until the entire grid is complete and all rules are satisfied.
